Majalah Kedokteran Andalas has been published in print version since 1974 by the Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University. Since 2016, MKA has been published online. But due to the lack of proper articles, MKA didn't release Volume 39 Number 3 and Volume 40 Number 3.
In 2017, there is a slight change in publishing's schedule. MKA will be published every January, May, and September.
Since Volume 41 Number 2, MKA used a new DOI prefix (10.25077).
