We ensure the highest standard peer-review process of all manuscripts submitted for publication in Majalah Kedokteran Andalas (MKA). MKA arranges that the publication final decision of the article will be communicated to the author within a maximum of 3 months since the manuscript submitted to the MKA. First, submitted manuscript will be reviewed by an editor. The manuscript will be returned to the author to be fixed if the article does not comply with the author guidelines. Every manuscript that meets the guidelines will be sent to 3 reviewers for evaluation regarding originality and scientific merit of the manuscript. Authors are welcome to submit names of appropriate reviewers. Authors are expected to improve their article based on reviewers' comments and suggestions. The Associate Editor, with advice from the Editor in Chief and editorial board, decides on publication. The publication decision will be sent to the authors.
