Sindrom Guillain-barre dengan Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C)

Abstract

Sindrom Guillain-Barre (SGB) adalah penyakit autoimun yang menyerang saraf tepi, dapat dipicu oleh infeksi yang baru terjadi, dan mengenai segala usia. Gejala SGB berupa kelemahan progresif yang dimulai dari anggota gerak hingga otot kranial dan pernapasan, menyebabkan kelumpuhan total, kegagalan pernapasan, bahkan kematian. Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) adalah kumpulan gejala inflamasi multisistem berkaitan dengan infeksi COVID-19, yang dapat menyebabkan kegagalan organ multipel. MIS-C menyebabkan beberapa gejala neurologis pada anak dan remaja, termasuk sindrom Guillain-Barre (SGB). Pada laporan kasus ini kami membahas mengenai anak laki-laki berusia 1 tahun yang didiagnosis Sindrom Guillain-Barre dengan MIS-C. Pasien mendapatkan terapi IVIG, obat-obatan, dan terpasang ventilator. Pasien dirawat di ruang intensive anak dengan lama rawatan selama 18 hari. Kondisi pasien telah mengalami perbaikan dan pasien diperbolehkan untuk rawat jalan serta pemantauan ke poliklinik anak.
